Kent 41

Buffalo 33

Half

Kent continues to play to the level of its competition. I look for the Flashes to come out in the 2nd half and play more aggressively. Edwards,

Buffalo will be a factor next year. (How weird does that sentence look!?) They have no seniors listed on their website.

and our website is correct, we will return all of our current starters, plus a few guys have been dismissed which opens up a few more scholarship spots. Good game from what I heard tonight, except the score keeper at the end. Can't wait for the game in two weeks! Go Bulls!

I was very impressed with Buffalo. I thought they were noticably quicker than us and they hammered us on the boards. Their coach should get serious consideration for coach of the year as they were horrendous a few years back.

As for Kent they just continue to find ways to win.

As i said on Saturday we WILL run the table and finish 24-3.

Just got back from the game and the bar. Whew! That was too close. Still, winning close games does not get old. Buffalo is for real no doubt. They do a nice job rebounding the ball as we got worked on the boards tonight. They spread our defense out, got Big John out to the top of the key quite a bit tonight and it opened up the middle. Buffalos big man(drawing a blank on the name) can shoot from outside of 15 feet. The Flashes did all the little things though that win games like making free throws(huge down the streatch tonight.)

Decent crowd for a Wed. (A-4700)

The halftime show was great. They(Carol and Laing) honored the men's and women's MAC Champion golf teams. Then a little peice on Ben Curtis' career at KSU and the pros. Then Ben came strolling in with the Claret Jug held high for all to see to a standing O. A wonderful night at the MAC Center. 04-rock

Saturday should be rockin for BG and for ESPN2. Can't wait!!!

The Bulls had a great game plan and just about pulled one out, at times it seemed that our
defense was just standing still and letting them go to the bucket.

They were tyring to stop Big-John but just couldn't do it and Matt Jakeway came in and
really made the plays needed to pull this one out.

No doubt that JC will :chair: reinform the team about rebounding...........we got plastered
on the boards and we can't expect to win going down the stretch run getting outrebounded
like the Bulls did to us.

Games like this I wish we had the quickness of Rashaad Turner; Bring on the Falcons!!!

Too bad the game wasn't on TV....I would have loved to have seen this one. You get the feeling that Buffalo needed to "steal" this game because in a couple weeks I'm sure UB won't outrebound KSU by 18 and get all those 2nd chance points.
Congrats on the win Flashes.

Also, this is why I don't bet.....check out the last sentence.

usually, you get your butt kicked if you get outrebounded & outhustled..

a good shooting night saved us.. a career game by Big John saved us.. hitting our free-throws saved us..

the flashes are lucky they only have to endure the wrath of jc for a few days till they have a chance to redeem themsleves sat..

we've been slipping a bit lately on our defensive effort.. i'd like to see us put together a strong defensive effort sat vs BG
