The Flashes will need to start playing 40 minutes of basketball if they want to run the table. Recently the Flashes have been playing only the 2nd half of the game and this lack luster style of play will eventually bite them in the butt if they don't start playing a complete game. Below are quotes from Christian and Jakeway.

My thoughts are that it's mid-February and they are hitting the wall a little. They hammered the two challengers in UT and WMU and are coasting a bit against some lesser competition. Plus, they also have to be looking forward a bit to Creighton.

Things will be fine. All that matters is winning at the Gund. There will be no at large bid for the MAC.

It is impossible to have the same intensity evry game. I agree with you, NFG, that we have had some very flat chunks of games lately. We may be due for another breakout game--certainly hope we have one for Creighton, but I wouldn't be surprised to see us really lay the wood to BG Saturday. We play them (at least) twice a year, are very familiar with them, have a very bad taste left after last year's debacle, match up with them very advantageously, and in the ebb and flow of the season, it just feels like we are about to start another rise. I thought the NIU-CMU-Buffalo games would present problems for us, particularly, as Flash said, after the big efforts against WMU and UT. They did, but now we need to start the final push.
I'm about to pack mrs. axe and little axe in the car and head for NE OH this a.m. for a couple of days and have my tickets in hand for Sat. 04-rock Should be a full house and a great time.
I'll be the one wearing the gold sweatshirt if you're watching on ESPN2! :D
Catch you guys in a few days back here.
GO FLASHES!! 04-bow

Well, Falcon Freak, your team may be catching us at the best time or the worst time.

One the up side for BG... The Flashes have been a little flat 2 of the last 3 games. If they are still flat Saturday, you could catch us.

On the down side...home crowd, ESPN , Christian pissed and wanting a break out game.

We'll see which game it is tomorrow.

Go Flashes. Enjoy all.

I think this game could be alot closer than people think
The one thing BG has is a center in Netter that can matchup with Edwards. If our guards are cold and he neutralizes Edwards it could be very interesting.

I hope the lackluster performances recently and a national TV will inspire the flashes.

No sir, haven't lived there in a long time. Actually, I'm closer to BG than Kent, though am even closer to BallSt & Miami. I see more road games than home games.
