DeAndre Haynes proved today that he was just flat getting tired at the end of the regular season. Tremendous game for him today. Edwin, Cutley, and Edwards also played well. Great job guys!
A note to Eric Haut: We play again TOMORROW, Friday, March the 12th, at 8:30 p.m. at Gund Arena. That's One Center Court, Cleveland, Ohio, 44115.
Just two more to dance! Go Flashes!

With Haynes scoring 26 and Edwin with 22, these two very athletic players have proven again why they are the two best one-on-one players on the team. Haynes and Edwin have the ability to create their own shot and should be given the opportunity to penetrate to the basket as well as shoot the trey.
When you have players who are quick with the ball and can shoot with effectiveness, an uptempo style is the best way to utilize their skills. I believe you will continue to see Haynes and Edwin become more consistent with their shooting next year. Gates will complement Haynes and Edwin in the backcourt and Gerwig and Cutley should be able to handle themselves in the frontcourt quite well.
But that is enough talk about next year's team. We still have two more MAC tournament games to go.
Go Flashes!!!

Yep, Dre sure did show up today. Maybe the trick to getting him out of slumps is to tell him we're always playing B.G.
I knew we'd like Jason Edwin before the season was over.
Man, now I care again. Uh-oh. And I REALLY want Miami tomorrow.
Anyone else think Meechie should watch films with the team and point out big brother's tricks?

Great Win! They were definately aided by the fact that Netter was in foul trouble most of the game. Haynes is a stud. He put that team on his back for the first half and pretty much single handedly kept them in the game until the D and shooting touch came back.
Good news is that the shooting touch and confidence seemed to come around in the second half. The swagger was back as well. I think that the second half was a good sign for tomorrow.
Haut is out of gas and he sat most of the game. Probably not a bad thing at this point.
These guys will want a piece of Miami after losing to them the way they did last week. How does fried Redhawk taste?! :D

Haynes took Wright to school and home yesterday. Wright learned that he's gonna need to step it up in this league...but he has improved drastically over the course of the season and is extremely athletic. Haynes is already an amazing player. Shades of Andrew Mitchell?
Somehow, I knew Kent would return to tourney form....I'm not that stupid! When a team shoots 72% in the 2nd half....BG couldn't do anything about that.
Congrats on the win....best of luck vs Miami...should be a great game, always is with Charlie Coles!

axeme Wrote:...--Reimhold was all over him and he never got a good look--I give credit to the defense for that...
That is definately an accurate statement. I especially liked the Rheimhold push offs and the nice shove he gave someone going out bounds on the loose ball play in the second half that were no calls by the refs. However, I think he paid for his defensive effort, because his shooting was waaaaaay off in the second half.
From my point of view, both Netter and Rheimhold are finally gone. I was frankly sick of those two.
