We lost to Miami by fumbling 4 times, but we don't choke like NIU or a team like that does every year, we will be ready! BG is real good this year however, advantage Glass Bowl!!!!!

Defeating NIU without Garrett Wolfe is like defeating Toledo without Bruce Gradkowski.

It’s what is known as a pyrrhic victory.

Toledo has a great team and is a credit to the MAC West. This year, however BG has the better team.

Toledo fans like Toledititan and TJ might enjoy trash talking.

Ultimately the success of BG, NIU or Toledo depends on how the MAC West is perceived. Toledo fans should keep that in mind. Tonight is a chance to showcase the MAC west. Clearly the MAC has not got the recognition it deserves based on the objective performance of its elite teams. Miami and Akron included. Recognition for any MAC team is a victory for all MAC teams. This year BG has arguably the best combined offense, with a very impressive string of convincing victories. IF BG gets national recognition we all win.

We might have 3 or 4 MAC teams going Bowling this year. A nationally ranked BG is almost assured of a Bowl invitation. Together with Miami and NIU the MAC should achieve greater recognition and respect it deserves and up till now, has not received.
In the improbable event of a Toledo victory, I am sure Toledo will represent the MAC well against another conference.

Does Toledo have QB depth? When it comes to a superstar does anyone have depth?
Without Gradkowski Toledo would have lost to both NIU and BG period.
You do not normally get superstar heroics from 3rd string backups ! The context of depth has its limitations. If you are so confident about Toledo QB depth, make sure Gradkowski is not present against either BG or NIU. I promise you will become a favourite in both schools. A Toledo without Gradkowski would have lost to both BG and NIU by several touchdowns!

BG red-shirted freshman QB Anthony Turner, who is arguably the best QB to come out of Ohio last year. So when he suits up next year, I think BG should have a good backup in him. Once Jacobs leave, we will be talking about Turner becoming the next Jacobs!!

BG has a great QB back-up, but it will take atleast 2 years to become an Omar Jacobs!
NIU has a great QB back-up as well, however there is no substitute for experience! Green is great for currency but not for QB! It takes experience to handle those clutch moments with poise!
