1) Tennessee - (LW:1) Triumphed over bye. That's more than what Tulsa and UL-Monroe can say.

2) Georgia - (LW: 4) Road win, SEC win, in the rain win, in the last seconds hold-off win...unless it's over Vanderbilt, it's an impressive feat. Bulldogs move up because of it.

3) Arkansas - (LW:3) South Florida was supposed to make this interesting. Instead the Razorbacks completely shut down USF in every total aspect. 547 yds of offense, including 307 yds rushing were impressive. Defense holds NFL prospect Marquel Blackwell to 12-33 for 80 yds. This HOG team is the best Nutt has had since '98.

4) Florida (LW:2) I couldn't believe it. It looks as though the Gators have all their confidence drained out of them. They've gotta get it back before playing Tennessee.

5) Alabama - (LW:5) Solid OOC win. Now the real non-conference test comes in Southern Miss. Bama's become a solid, tough team that's again, very scary to play.

6) Auburn - (LW:6) Vanderbilt is like the gift SEC win. Tigers take the gift and will not exchange. Great defensive pressure by Auburn on Saturday, with 2 fumble recoveries for TDs.

7) Kentucky (LW:8) I can't believe they are 3-0, but they are. As long as they keep winning, they keep moving up. Morriss might be the early favorite for SEC Coach of the Year, but he's still got the conference slate to go.

8) LSU (LW:9) Finally, a solid win by the Tigers in which they looked decent. Not great, but decent enough to move up.

9) Ole Miss (LW:7) Rebels outgained TT by tons, but they never took advantage of their yardage. Texas Tech had the better game plan and definitely the better special teams play. Eli had a good game, but this game proves that Eli can not do it alone, not by a long shot.

10) Miss. State (LW:11) - Can't complain too much. Ripped thru the cupacke known as Jacksonville State. Someone ask Mario Haggan what flavor it was though, JSU sure got eaten alive fast.

11) South Carolina (LW:10) - I kept telling people, S. Carolina isn't what they are hyped to be. Big play against Richt's team, and THEY blow it. Lou will pull a couple of upsets, but his team is too young, too inexperineced, and just not too good.

12) Vanderbilt (LW: 12) Pitiful. Just pitiful. Bobby Johnson has a lot of building still to do.

Top 7 remain the same...

1) Tennessee - bye (LW #1)

2) Georgia - ugly, but got the win (LW #2)

3) Florida - slow start vs Ohio (LW #3)

4) Arkansas - no trouble with USF (LW #4)

5) LSU - sloppy win vs Miami (OH) (LW #5)

6) Auburn - looked good vs Vandy (LW #6)

7) Alabama - easy win vs North Texas (LW #7)

8) Kentucky - .500 season?!? (LW #9)

9) Ole Miss - beaten soundly by Texas Tech (LW #8)

10) MSU - no problem with Jacksonville St. (LW #11)

11) South Carolina - terrible game vs UGA (LW #10)

12) Vanderbilt - will they win a conference game? (LW #12)

Edit: forgot about UK being ineligible for bowls
