Owen was a solid 3 star on both rivals and 247, 6'4" 310 lbs. he was listed as a guard by 247 and tackle by rivals. On some highlights on his twitter it looks like they had him at tackle. Had offers from Colorado State, Rutgers, UConn, Kent State, and Syracuse out of high school...once he went into the transfer portal it looks like we were his only FBS offer, the rest were FCS. In 2020 he didn't play but that year didn't count, then he didn't play at all in 2021 so I think he could have redshirted that year as well. So he would have been a RS freshman this past season, maybe? It doesn't look like he started this year but he did play some. He'd come in with at least two, maybe three years left.

I think the O-line is in about as good of shape as we could hope for after losing Sow, Johnson, and Bates. While it would have been nice to keep Johnson around, we still have Dooley and Howie who are great vets. Douglas and Rewolinski both have starting experience, we have some of the young guys who were highly recruited and/or we've had good reports on (Conti, Jackson, Warnsman, Roman, Indestad, Anderson, Lee), and now have added three transfers (Mayo, Sunderman, and Snively) with two of them coming from D1 programs. Who knows how it will shake out, but it should be a great competition which leads to high quality starters and a great depth.

One thing I've found interesting is the lack of talk about a quarterback. I think most of us thought he would look to add a grad transfer-type QB like Bryant and Powell. Obviously we have not done that yet, but there also hasn't been any rumors or reports of offers or interest from anyone. For example, we know they are still looking to add a WR We knew they were looking to add on the O-line and even knew about the three recent commits before they committed. Nothing on a potential QB though, so maybe that is a sign they just think they have their guy between Austin, Ike, or Cam'Ron.
