Excellent point…. And I too am in shock. Hoping this was just some horrible fluke of a game.
I knew Bradley was no cupcake having lived in MVC country for 19 years but dang, does this ruin everything in the eyes of the media and fans locally? If we get on a roll and Bates goes off, is it always going to be, "Yeah but...you know they lost to Bradley by almost 30." Is it going to be "Michigan wasn't really into it. It was more of a scrimmage to them, they'd beat them by 40 now." Losing to Bradley on the road is no crime, but GD this was truly the worst case scenario. I pray this doesn't kill all the momentum because I still believe this team can be damn good. This is not a team that deserves to play in front of 950 fans at home like Murphy's teams. I don't know how we overcome the perception this loss has cast on this team. Needless to say, I am bummed out. Why? Why? Why?
