I have been sitting on this and finally chose to come out with it now since I was given more info on it
this updated info was given to me on saturday by some coaches
the current situation could change but this is what is going on
Castro as of now only has 10 girls ready
2 to 3 are walk-ons
The reason he has a lack of girls, is that a bunch of them are in-eligible
The university is waiting for the 2nd half or the end of the season to fire him
The roster does not currently reflect this.
What do you mean?
I told you guys what coaches told me
That's what they said
I don't think the roster will remove ineligible players
I can call some coaches right now and see if I misheard what they said
I'm staying far from this discussion because I know almost nothing of EMU WBB.
That said, a couple points:
1). Usually when one of posters says, "I was told..." (or similar) I believe them. As discussed with Emoni, there are posters who have various contacts with either players, or friends of players or family of players or whatever. West Campus isn't exactly like the CIA in Langley.
2). The EMU WBB team will play Monday before the MBB game. If players are ineligible, etc. we will know. They will not play. It will be up to us to 'guess' why players are not playing. I agree that ineligible players are not removed from the roster. I believe players remain on the roster until they are off the team. I assume some of the players will 'cure' their academic issues.
