I understand your point although it is still kind of a 'shape up or ship out...' approach some took.

They complained about his recruiting and never getting over .500 and how years he has been here yada yada. Hopefully this year he delivers a MAC Championship.

Okay there view was as clear as mud. They wanted him to contend for a championship which he didn't do.

So where were they? On the fence?

I was definitely one of the critical people. After the loss to Toledo, which was at home against their backup QB in a game where they did EVERYTHING they could to lose it but we wouldn’t let them, we were sitting at 2-3 in the MAC, after going 3-5 the year before, 2-4 the year before that, and 3-5 the year before that.

You guys are acting like it’s a crazy to notion to have been frustrated with the job Creighton was doing. I don’t remember anyone “calling for his head” like 79’s hyperbolic post suggested (that would be unrealistic anyway, with his Rob Murphy contract), just some fans upset that a coach wasn’t making any progress in year 8. I’m happy we finished the season strong and then dominated a good team in our bowl game. Creighton has publicly stated the goal is to win the MAC next season, and I appreciate that, now that the bowl monkey is off our back.
