My Response.

@Ramy. NIL will be good for college athletics because it will encourage some players to stay in school. For example in basketball would you rather be a fringe second rounder or the big man on campus pulling in 6 digit NIL to be a star at Villanova or the U? I can definitely see NIL payments being a stabilizing force in basketball in particular. In Hockey maybe you see players attend college instead of playing Juniors.

@ Ken. Players are being exploited because they lack the rights to negotiate for better compensation. sure a free education is nice but considering the amount of money flowing around college sports players should be at least empowered to freely pursue better conditions and compensation. however the NCAA is a monopoly and acts like a cartel and restrictions are put on the players trade.
