And yea I know they lost 4 games by total of 11 points, but do we really expect the 2022 team to be better than 2021? Realistically that seems unlikely to be the case. They didn't get to MACC and we know to save his job this team needs to in 2022, not so sure they will be that much improved????

The bright side is, if we just arent the worst team in the nation in penalties... say 3 less per game? we win 4 more games. Which in fact wins us the MAC West.

Special teams could also get a lot better which turns even those losses into comfortable W's. Our Defense was actually fantastic! The MAC has been won with much worse defenses... I like our chances if just penalties and specs improve.

We have a horrible pass blocking offensive line , but Candle can't fire his Mount Union buddy and get a decent coach.
I dont disagree. But I blame it partly to scheme. Once that sured up and we went with 1 QB/ play calling for 1 QB, offense still ended up in the top 50. Our offense was better than NIUs over the second half of the year, and they won the league... So the bar isnt that high.

But yes, I want a more cohesive line and sured up line play for ALL of 2022.

At the end, we also played a weaker schedule which likely made us look better than what we were!

Do you think our offense that played vs. EMU (best showing against EMU all season) beats NIU, and CSU with mid season form and scheme with Finn? I do.

Our losses would be CMU in OT (100% blame specs for loss), and EMU by 3 (turnovers). Which would be non offensive issue losses... and this conversation wouldnt be about Oline but the other things i mentioned.
