Only three schools in this conference is even close to .500 OOC since 2014 and that's Marshall, Tech and Western. The others are basically 1-2 OR 0-3 vs FBS each year on average

OOC record VS FBS for the CUSA champs 2020-2014. In Western's case the games vs Vandy and Indiana were chokes. Western had those games and let them slip away. Marshall won all of their OOC games but if you want respect...your conference champ cant just beat up on MAC schools .500 or under.

UAB
Miami L 14-31
ULL L 20-24
S. ALA W 42-10

FAU
SMU W 52-28
UCF L 14-48
Ohio St L 21-45
Ball State W 41-31

UAB
Tulane W 31-24
Northern Illinois W 37-13
Texas A&M L 20-41
Coastal Carolina (5-7) L 24-47

FAU
Navy L 19-42
Wisconsin L 14-31
Akron W 50-3
Buffalo L 31-34

Western
Memphis W 51-31
Miami (OH)W 31-24
Vanderbilt L 30-31
Bama L 10-38

Western
LSU L 20-48
Indiana L 35-38
Miami (OH) W 56-14
Vanderbilt W 14-12
South Florida W 45-28

Marshall
Northern Illinois w 52-23
Akron w 48-17
Ohio W 44-14
Miami (OH) W 42-27

Western is above .500 because it typically plays a weak OOC schedule.

You dont have a clue if you looked at the above and came away with that conclusion.

2014
Navy (8-5)
Army (4-8)
Big10 (6-7)
MAC (1st in east)
MAC (3rd overall)

2015/16 is above
Out of 9 games 5 vs SEC or Big 10
2 vs AAC
2 vs MAC

2017
1 VS Big10
1 vs SEC
1 vs SBC
1vs MAC

2018
1 vs Big10
1 vs ACC
1 vs MAC

2019
1 vs ACC
1 vs SEC
1 vs Army
1 vs MAC

Covid 2020
ACC
BYU
Liberty
SBC

29 total games
13 vs SEC/BIG10/ACC (8 went to bowl game)
2 vs top G5 for that year BYU/Liberty (both went to bowl both won 10 or more)
3 vs Navy/Army (2out 3went to bowl)
2 vs top tier AAC (both went bowl)
2 VS SBC (both bowl)
7 vs MAC (4 of those went to bowl)

Like I said you are a idiot if you believe what you said.

(edit) actually I didnt call you an idiot up above... I was thinking it. I did not say Western was above .500. I said "only Marshall, Tech and Western is above or close to .500. Western fell below .500 (14-15) in the covid year by going 0-4

Memphis, Miami (OH), Vanderbilt, South Florida, Indiana, Akron, Army, Navy, and Liberty? I'm supposed to be impressed? LSU and Alabama are the only two big time programs of all those you listed. Let's also not pretend that going to a bowl game these days is much of an accomplishment. It doesn't strengthen your argument as much as you'd like to think. Get a grip. Start playing some powerhouse programs with regularity, beat them, and then come tell us how great 'Western' is. Until then, get the hell outta here with your bull.

There you go, once more jumping into the deep end not knowing how to swim. No where did I say Western was great. Now pay attention so I dont have to repeat this.

The way you get attention from the media is to win games. OOC games. And with that I said "Marshall, Tech and Western are the only schools in CUSA that is close to .500 or over.

I dont care if you are impressed or not for G5 scheduling Western's schedule is damn good. Maybe Rice should try it because going 0-3 almost every year has to hurt. But hell even with Western's schedule, Rice would have still went 0 and forever.

Now go away little fly because you are a damn idiot if you think Western's OOC schedule is weak compared to other CUSA schools.

Western is weak, and it's schedule is weak. Play some real opponents. Take on some big boys. Get off the porch. Anyone in this conference who isn't scheduling two P5 opponents every year, isn't doing it's part in making CUSA more nationally visible. Just about anyone can go .500 against average competition. It's the victories against the perrineal top 25 schools that bring attention to a conference and a program. Look no further than what the Sunbelt did in week one last season. Get real. Use your brain for once. Nobody cares about WKU beating Akron, Liberty, and Tennessee Tech.
