RE: Unofficial 2022 Men's Basketball Recruiting Thread
Quick pivot. I've mentioned in the past, that I know a kid who was a legit. 3-star recruit.

He went to Ga Tech and was to study SPORTS MANAGEMENT.

Ga Tech is a brutally tough school. Why would a Sports Mgt major pick it? The kid above (who chose NJIT) might have been a good candidate for Ga. Tech.

To me, it seems like going to MIT to study psychology. Why???

Certain schools are naturals for certain demographics or fields of study. Harvard is absolute academic excellent. MIT say STEM, Ga Tech STEM. Georgetown politics, law, foreign service, etc. UNLV for hospitality, etc. Howard black culture with an emphasis on political, law, and also health sciences to go back and serve underserved Black communities. Catholic University of America (CUA) Catholic based studies, mostly liberal arts, probably not a good choice for an atheist.

Or e.g., going to a liberal arts college to study STEM. Is that the best academic school for those academic disciplines?

Alabama - "Pre-NFL studies." 03-lmfao
