I have no idea of who may sign in the next month or so with us. Looks like Ball St transfers including Jihad are staying out. Julian Lewis keeps updating schools. We are not on the list. NIU keeps finalizing their class but mostly with three guys from Europe and players with no or very few D1 offers. Recruiting instate will get tougher with Stephens at WMU. Transfers really complicate tracking. I am not saying Heath will not bring in a good class. I honestly don't know. CC lately has put a buzz in football recruiting. Maybe Heath can away to do the same.

'79 you are exactly right about how it is impossible to accurately follow MBB recruiting without a good source.

Let's talk numbers...

FB has a total of 85 scholarship to be in effect. MBB has 13. The ratio is more than 6 : 1.

So CFB transfers should be many, many times more prevalent than MBB transfers. Yet, we may end up with as many MBB transfers as EMU FB transfers.

So what does that mean:

1). H.S. MBB recruiting is out of vogue except for say 4 or 5 star players (and 3 star at mid majors).

2). Again, for reasons I don't understand, CFB transfers are moderately high levels but MBB transfers are at a pandemic level. What is so different about the two sports? I don't know. We know that in CFB players who play at certain positions, e.g. QB, K, P, etc. are more likely to transfer because #2 doesn't play unless #1 can't play. That is not true in MBB. A 2nd PG, might get say 7 or 8 minutes per game behind an impact starter.

3). We don't understand MBB transfers. No one has done a study to determine those transferring down, up or at the same competition level. Would someone tell me what the 3 star St. Peter's players who entered the portal are looking. Do they expect to be offered by Seton Hall? Or are they waiting to see the next HC? Or do they want the adulation of being recruited by a number of schools?
