He already redshirted a season so he’d lose a season of eligibility

He could always get a hardship waiver, which the NCAA handled out like candy last season (Justin Fields, Tate Martell, etc).

Meh dont see him getting a hardship waiver unless something happens in the program. Fields cited racism as a reason and Martell had a coaching change

If he goes to a football factory (OSU, Michigan, etc) I'm sure they will find a way to have a hardship.
