RE: National Championship JMU Versus NDSU January 11, 2020
I have a hypothetical. Would you rather win, have Men's Basketball lose every game for the rest of the season, and not fire Rowe; or lose and have Men's Basketball win half of their remaining games (7-6 to finish 8-10 in the CAA and lose their first CAA Tournament game)? My guess is you'd rather the Football win.

I'm surprised that you're favored by 1.5. You could win, but NDSU hasn't done anything to show that they're not the best, and they're 3.79 better in the Sagarin. NDSU is on a 36 game winning streak. According to Wikipedia, that's the FCS record, and the only longer FBS streaks are 47 by Oklahoma, 40 by Washington, and two 37 game streaks by Yale. Oklahoma's streak was from 1953 to 1957, and the other three were over a hundred years ago. Your 26 game winning streak in 2016 and 2017 is third in FCS behind two by NDSU and tied for 21st in FBS and FCS combined. Nebraska's longest winning streak is 26, and Notre Dame, USC, Michigan, Ohio State, and Auburn have never won 26 in a row. The longest winning streak by another CAA team is 17 by Richmond in 2008 and 2009. I don't remember when it changed names from A10 to CAA, but I'm counting it because the teams remained the same when the name changed.
