Who did NDSU play with a viable passing game this season??? Not finding anything yet, ANY 03-idea

UC Davis, which obviously was a tight game. But UC Davis appears to be the best passing offense either team has faced all year (according to NCAA stats).

Not sure if the result was because they are a tough team, or if it was some of the Bison youth rearing it’s head early in the season. JMU fans will lean toward the conclusion that the Bison are vulnerable to good passing offenses I’m sure.

Watching that one right now. What puzzles me is that most of the teams are run heavy because they are inefficient at passing the ball and NDSU gets gashed often! but I will say they get better inside the 30s.

Inside the 30s is where the game will be won or loss provided no costly turnovers.

It’s tough to isolate and draw conclusions on games that may not have been representative of the entire season.

Much the same as Bison fans pointing to your Stony Brook game, deficit to Nova, or even the lack of ability to move the ball against UNI.

It seems pretty clear that NDSU has better statistical passing defense because they’ve not faced top passing offenses, whereas JMU has a worse statistical passing defense because they’ve faced better passing offenses. Vice versa for rushing defense.

Good Point,

but at the time of Stony Brook, that was the 3rd week in row on the road and there 3 top corners were out or in and out of the game and line ups week to week.

Nova's QB was really good until MJ Hampton's pick 6, turn the game around, shook his confidence, and infused the the defense with more confidence then they already had.

TE's match-ups will be at the forefront for sure.

The edge defense will be a key vs ndsu as well as I see it right now but this game may end up being a wild one early
