Well THOSE names will get Nutmeg State residents out to the Rent more than UCF and Houston.

UConn spent the last two years in the AAC averaging 10k attendance. Those brands do nothing, the only thing that's going to matter in terms of attendance is whether or not they're winning games.

I remain appreciative of your prior comments - UConn's schedule as an independent and ticket sales/viewership reaction to it just has to be not appreciably worse than in the AAC.
I AM saying it's not a given that Fresno State, Ball State, MTSU will hit that "not appreciably worse" threshhold.
Also - many UConn supporters have theorized that an independent schedule could attack the football deficit - ~$9M of the $40M total deficit...trips to Fresno, Muncie, and Murfreesboro will chip into that football deficit roughly zero.

I love the matchup widget on Massey's site. Using his rating system, (not the composite that I also love) you can plug in teams, hosting at or neutral, and it runs sims for a prediction. None of those three came up as wins for UConn. None was even close.
