I don't know why people keep saying this. I look at that day and see plenty of entertaining games to watch, and it features one of the biggest games of the year, Florida vs Georgia.

Here's what I will tune in for next weekend:

Early

Houston at UCF
NC State at Wake Forest

Mid-afternoon

Virginia Tech at Notre Dame
Army at Air Force
Florida vs. Georgia
Kansas State at Kansas
TCU at Oklahoma State
Utah at Washington

Evening

Virginia at North Carolina
Oregon at USC
BYU at Utah State

Yes, the early 12 noon slate is weak, but then soon after we get VT, quietly playing better lately, at Notre Dame. VT was written off early, but they've eased their way to 5-2, and this is a big chance for them.

Then the mid-afternoon slate is an embarrassment of riches. You got UGA/Florida as the centerpiece, a couple nice rivalry games in Army/AFA and K-State/Kansas, a very entertaining Big 12 game in TCU/OKST and a matchup of two good PAC teams in Washington/Utah.

And even though the evening slate isn't packed, USC-Oregon is very big and will keep me happy.

No, it's not the greatest slate of games, but to me far from the worst either. I will be happy to watch 10-12 hours of college football, as usual.

Yeah, those weekends without seemingly marquee matchups typically end up having a number of entertaining games.
