This is just a hunch, but it wouldn't shock me if it's to squeeze in another Michigan - ND series. Michigan has separate series with Texas and Oklahoma from 2024 to 2027.

Maybe, but Notre Dame is already playing Ohio State in '22 and '23.

Michigan-LSU, maybe? LSU also has no P5 non-con opponents announced for '22 and '23.

EDIT: They did announce another Michigan-ND H&H -- in 2033 and 2034. Some of us might still be around to see it.
