I debated even responding given the bolded. I mean it is just an absolutely ridiculous statement that I don't even want to engage in a conversation with someone that can honestly write that.

However, I have an undeniable need to post: Nobody is acting like people are saying "Cole save us" and nobody is saying "Ben is the next Walter Payton winner and first team all american". Posters, myself included, are defending a guy that is statistically among the best in the nation this year, statistically as good as or better than a QB that some are calling one of the best ever at JMU. I feel a need to defend a guy cause there are posters on multiple threads and several posts nitpicking the dumbest stuff like near interceptions or every decision he makes or just blatant disregard for facts.

Let me ask a question, what QB stats are shown before every game and on every sports website? I'm guessing if you named 5 or 6, you didn't include passes deflected. So lets throw out the fact that he is amongst the highest in the nation in completion percentage of the second year in a row, lets forget he completed 85% of his passes against an FBS team in his first game with a new team/coach, lets forget that you take out the worst game of his career (which was also a game that many posters say was bound to be lost because of distractions) he had a 2.25 TD to INT ratio last year (higher than said best QB ever when you remove his worst game), but lets definitely talk about how he threw into a tight window in the end zone on 3rd and long down against a FBS team, yea lets do that caust that is super reasonable.

Lets not talk about how the OL hasn't learned how to block in multiple years, lets not talk about multiple sacks this year that a DL was untouched, lets forget that his WRs have dropped a handful of perfect passes longer than 20+ yards already this year, lets not talk about any of that, lets talk about how he threw a ball that some joe schmoe high school coach said you shouldn't throw even though we see it thrown every Sunday in the fall, yea lets do that cause that is super reasonable.

Jake Maier was hero sports first team preseason all american, he has thrown for 66%, 7 TD and 5 INTs. Tom Flacco was second team preseason all america, first team CAA, 5th in walter payton voting last year and he is completing only 57% of his passes and does have a single f'ing pass all season over 40 yards (cause I mean we definitely know DiNucci cant throw a ball over 15 yards amirite?). Zerrick Cooper was third team all american and he has throw 5x more INTs than DiNucci and despite nearly twice as many throws, only 2 more TDs. So yea, lets definitely not talk about how DiNucci is presently outperforming the nations best quarterbacks, lets talk about how he doesn't always make the perfect read.

Don't be surprised that people are going to defend a guy when you have posters arguing that he isn't the best QB on the team.

Good post. I have no idea where this hatred comes from, but it is disgusting and shameful. I have never seen anything like it.
