And the crowning glory moment fell into his lap. Our contract was expiring so it wasn’t like he went out specifically trying to improve it. Nike probably never entered the conversation as we dropped them to sign the Russell one 5 or so years ago.

Anything was better than freaking Russell. The Russell uni's we had in '15-'17 weren't that bad...but they were still Russell. The only Russell unis that really looked good were the Russell 90s throwbacks we wore vs. UNT in 2017 - those were sweet. The Russell uni's we had in '13-14 were the worst gd uniforms we've ever had in USM's history. Oddly enough, Nike's last year with us (2012, a season we'd all like to forget), those throwbacks were sweet.

I think the first season with Russell I made a trip to Hattiesburg and went to a game.. I bought a simple black moisture wicking polo with the helmet logo on it.. To me it looked better than some of the other stuff they put out there...
