i was surprised we didn't look inside to metzel more. that's what kept us alive yesterday. we were reluctant to take the ball straight at their center. way too many perimeter shots when they weren't falling. when we went inside it was to greenberg who just wasn't converting. she turned the ball over a few times in there and seems more comfortable scoring off cuts.

i thought we could've tried to pressure them more too. they outscored us 13-2 in fast break points. rebounding was a problem again too.

it's really the first time i'm starting to wonder what we need to do different. the easy answer is get a stud player. greenberg is a great player within our system but i'm talking somebody who can just come down and drop a jumper when you need it. greenberg could be that type of player if she gets to the balls to the wall/marginean approach who would get to the basket or die trying. that's why she got calls.

I not really sure what else she can do other than maybe get more size and physical players, but I guess it's hard to find them willing to go to Drexel and be comfortable playing within the system. I honestly thing that if the entire conference can do their job OOC, then there's a good chance that this conference can get 5-6 top 100 teams and get multiple NCAA bids. There were very few senior heavy teams this year in the CAA. The league is going to be much stronger. Drexel is also going to be stronger.
So while the window to win a CAA Championship may have closed this year, I do think that their opportunity to get into the NCAA Tournament next year has not.
