No excuses on this one. We are not good enough to have any gimmes, but Elon really is one of the basement-dwellers of D1 and a team that really sees itself as a title contender has no business losing to them at home. It's really going to hurt in the race for the 4/5 spot to avoid Hofstra/NE/Charleston in Round 1. Obviously it's not unrecoverable with a lot of games left, and .500 may be enough to be in a decent spot for March, but right now we're not on a trajectory to do better than that.

Luke has definitely made some measured improvements, but I think it's nonetheless safe to say he hasn't played to the level we would've hoped. He's become an adequate passer, defender and mover but the lack of playmaking and shooting ability we're getting when either he or Scott are on the floor is killing us and making it very easy for teams to load up on Nate.

I thought the Owens/Milon/Audige/Pierce/Knight lineup we saw more of in the Hofstra overtime was a good step and I'm not sure why we haven't seen more of it, because those sure look like our five best players.
