The plan is to leave the Ching Field improvements in place after the UH football team moves to its future home at reconstructed Aloha Stadium. The 15K-seat on-campus facility will be ideal for marquee high school football games and also could host UH football scrimmages, high school marching band shows, concerts, university assemblies and graduations, etc. And of course the track will remain available for UH women's track & field meets.

However Ching Field won't be used for UH women's soccer matches as the team already plays at a beautiful 4,500-seat stadium with a grass field at a county soccer complex near Pearl Harbor:
