In addition to WV Wesleyan (which the article mentions), Bethany College is also offering to help out current AB students.

Win/win for all parties, with only 3-4 weeks until the semester starts, this has to be a tough time for AB students. Bethany and WVW are both fairly small schools as well, so increasing enrollment also helps them out.

For some of the schools in danger of closing, there probably is a weird waiting game they can play. If other nearby schools close first, you can get some of their students for an immediate enrollment boost, and you have less competition for future classes (Bethany has a C on Forbes financial list, and WVW has an A-, so neither seem in immediate danger of closing).
