As previously mentioned, the most straightforward approach to becoming a Division 1 Athletic Director is by transitioning from a Division 2 program to Division 1. In this scenario, the Division 2 Athletic Director becomes a Division 1 Athletic Director. It's interesting to observe how this progression occurs.

These two points stick out to me most. Are they talking about field hockey or ice hockey?

On the 2nd point about the NEC hoping to get to 10-12 teams it confirms my suspicion that there may be another member added this spring/or the following year whether that is Bentley or New Haven or someone else.

New Haven and Mercyhurst already interested in D1.
Bentley and Southern New Hampshire are rumored.
