Where to?

CCAA?

CCAA is an exclusively Cal State and U of Cal conference. 2 of the 3 Hawaii schools are private/religious.

Another advantage of them moving to NAIA/CalPac is that Hawaii West Oahu or even Hawaii Maui would have an easy path to launching athletics programs in the NAIA. But if the other Hawaii schools were NCAA, scheduling would be considerably more difficult.

So, instead they become the “Hawaii Division” of a west coast NAIA league and just have to see the rest of the conference a few times a year?

It’s certainly a cost cutting measure if that’s what they are looking to accomplish. I could see where every other year, conference championships would rotate between Hawaii and the mainland.
