Thanks! I've been pretty active on the D2 forum for years now.

Southern Indiana fans have had a hunch for a while now that this would be coming (as much as it looks like you like to give DavidSt a hard time for it).

The brand new arena was one of the big red flags that they've got some bigger goals in sight. Lots of upgrades in the last couple years to the athletics facilities including a new aquatic center. Last season, the men's basketball team picked up a fan-favorite face for the new head coach - USI '95 championship team member Stan Gouard spent the previous 10 years as rival UIndy's head coach. USI has picked up 4 D2 national titles in men's basketball (95), baseball (2010 and 14), and women's softball (2018). They've also been competitive in women's basketball recently as well as cross country and track. But no football here, in spite of some great high school teams in Evansville.

I'm curious to see what the exploration committee comes back with, and also curious to know if the OVC has already reached out to USI with an invitation.
