School president A. Zachary Faison Jr. said that the school expects to hear by July 9 about the transition into the NCAA and the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. That would package the EWC with 14 Historically Black Colleges and Universities in the SIAC. EWC currently plays in the NAIA.

The D2 Membership Committee meeting on the acceptance on new members is July 7-8. All the announcements from the schools about their advancement to full member status, to the next year in the process, and to begin the reclassifying process will start rolling out on July 9.

The February report is out now. Edward Waters and Emory & Henry are the only new applicants.

Does Emory & Henry have a conference home in mind?
