RE: 2018 CAA Women's Basketball Tournament
Yes by losing our conference tournament we were guaranteed a bid as all conference are guaranteed a single bid. However, with our high rpi it was a long shot for an at large still. Fact of the matter is, it may be a joke, but we didnt win enough quality games. WVU smoked us and is on the wrong side of the bubble after stumbling through their conference. Keep in mind WVU ran through that tournament with ease which included us and VT. The disparity between mids and majors is still alarming in the womens game. Cant fault them for putting the majors in over good mids due to the general talent level. That will only change when mids actually start winning games. It is easier to schedule good or middling teams in the womens game, you just have to be able to win some.
