Has anyone here read "The Missing Ring" which is a moaning whine about how unfairly Alabama was treated in 1966 after going undefeated and untied but finishing behind Notre Dame which had intentionally (politically) tied Michigan State? (Sports Illustrated cover story was titled "Tie one for the Gipper") Many Bama fans were just as put out then by that "slight" in voting as the UCF fans this week.

I somehow missed that one. Maybe one day when I care about Alabama football I'll read it.
