RE: UMKC Expected to Leave WAC, Rejoin Summit
Asuza Pacific is struggling financially. While Cal Baptist is growing APU is not (Is CBU eating APU, drawing the students APU needs?). If APU can get their finances in order D-I would be a logical way for them to go. Dixie State showed the path to keep Football.

I am pretty sure the four California FCS schools would schedule them due to proximity, to try and reduce travel for OOC games. Same for SUU and NAU. Further Dixie State would gladly schedule a long running November series when both schools would find it difficult to schedule opponents. Travel might actually be better than staying D-II.

And yes they would be perfect for the WAC. But the big question about APU is the health of the school itself. They need to be growing like CBU and GCU to justify moving up. That is not the case for APU.
