From what I read online, it appears that Thatcher would have actually been part of the 2019 graduating class of recruits but had decided to reclassify to 2020. But when his high school coach decided to take an assistant coaching position at ECU, he changed his mind about reclassifying.

Possibly. His stock seems to have skyrocketed since last season. Before he was viewed as a borderline D1 for 2019 that needed work. By the end of the summer he was one of the biggest risers and a coveted 2019 & 2020 midmajor target.

Dana and his staff have done an awesome job recruiting for this year and deserve accolades for their efforts!! Looking forward to how the team responds to the new new coaching staff against a challenging OCC road schedule. This team has an opportunity to raise eyebrows if they pull off some road upsets as we have a lot of untapped talent in our 3 transfer players and the possibility one of them will be all CAA.
