This morning Jonathan Holmes liked a tweet from Cozart’s travel team about some pre-season honor Cozart has been given. That makes me think the Tribe is still in it. Why bother liking a post about a player going elsewhere? And it doesn’t strike me as a try-to-get-his-attention kind of thing either; surely Holmes can contact him directly if need be and there is no guarantee that Cozart would see his team’s tweet anyway. To me this “like” seems to convey an ongoing relationship. It reminds me a little of Holmes liking a tweet by Mehkel Harvey’s travel team before we learned Harvey was to take an official to WM. That “like” out of nowhere was the tip-off that something had been happening behind the scenes. Hopefully it’s the same this time as well.
