Stop blaming others for your shortcomings and do something about it, stop Sitting back complaining about how unfair it is and go do it. You know why App state is gonna get Nola and mobile before you? Because they aren't crying about being way out the way...they are putting a quality product on the field and sold more tickets than you and they are 300 miles further from montgomery. You keep forgetting that this Nola matchup is their dream...we aren't playing some random opponent..it's southern miss..one of our oldest rivals. You are the one who keeps moving the goal post, you live in a bubble apparently. What happens when app gets Nola and we go to mobile and still nobody wants you...who's fault will it be then? You want to change the rules to guarantee you get to do something, that's for losers Tom. You want closer bowls to take you? Youbwant nola to consider you? Make a statement in Tucson...all you have to do is sell tickets, those people don't have to even go buy prove to the bowls your school will sell tickets. Buy tickets and donate them to wounded warriors in Tucson...donate them to any charity in Tucson. Those ticket sales count. Don't be a loser a Tom, it's easy to be a loser.

Uh, we WERE picked by other bowls. So drop the we aren't valuable BS. The AD at stAte said so, in so many words, publicly. The bowl that we supposedly showed up poorly at asked us back before the conference champions before interventions happened.

And don't ask us to perform on the business end of a 1000 dollar plane ride. We're sending no more than 1500 to Tucson. Air Force thinks they'll send 5k. You'd send no more than we would.

Nola turned down both conference champions to take the fifth place team. There's no metric that will get them to pick anyone but ULL if they are bowl eligible. That is obvious.

You're never going to hear the end of this folks. We see NO WAY to get to the NO Bowl if you are available. By the way, no one else does either. Its time that changed or the 9 other members of the Belt find a bowl that will treat us equitably (and tell the NO Bowl to go find another partner).

You didn't WIN anything higher than fifth place. You didn't deserve bowl slot one. Records only matter if they're actually being used to determine a winner and a loser. So then why do you even bother to bring them up?

All that exists here is ULL's entitlement at the expense of every other team in the conference.

You are the only one with a sense of entitlement in this conversation

Wow. Do you even know what entitlement means? I'll define as 'finishing FIFTH but demanding the first bowl position'. BTW, what I'm proposing would probably have guaranteed USA the worst bowl this year.

And no, the bowls aren't only there to provide revenue to the league (and App or stAte would have sold plenty of tickets). News flash....we aren't in this to make money. We're in it to provide entertainment for our fans, students, alumni and to provide a rallying point around our schools. Other schools could leverage the NO Bowl too.

And every team in this conference should have the ability, based upon on the field metrics, to get to that bowl. After this year, its clear only one team controls its ability to get there. Yours. No matter what happens on the field, you go to that bowl if you can get to 5 conference wins plus a FCS win. Troy or USA or App or stAte finishes 11-1? Sorry, you can go to Montgomery and play in a 21,000 seat stadium or to Tucson to play in a bowl with no TV coverage.

Saying 'as soon as another team gets 20k to go a bowl game in Alaska (or Tucson - same difference) because we get 20k to show up at a bowl game 118 miles from our campus in the middle of our alumni footprint too, isn't really a real competition.

Just fix it so that you have to do something other than lose 3 OOC games and win 5 conference games plus a FCS win to get there...

You have zero evidence to back up your argument, we were 8-4 all the other times not 6-6...and 1 year co champion. you are a typical whiney liberal who think the world owes you something. Our champion is play Toledo...rated the 5th best bowl hit you want to send them to play a 6-6 USM....just because you think it's fair. Bowls are not just about on field success, it's a business not a damn charity. If we would have home 5 times at 6-6 you might have a point..but we didn't. Nobody got left out with a better record... and nobody got left out this year. Until we are 6-6 in Nola and somebody is sitting at home with a better record just shut up bc anything else is just whining.

No need to wait for ULLs incumbency to screw us over. Leave it unfixed and it will. We'd rather fix it before it becomes a bigger problem.
