We've never played each other. We'd draw well against each other. We did sell out the (admittedly tiny) Montgomery Bowl. There's a local rivalry. I'd argue that USM would be a bigger rivalry game for USA than Troy. That game was the second highest attended game in Sun Belt conference history.

It wasn't sold out and was lower attended than the App Camellia Bowl

Our people said it was at the time (our AD couldn't get more tickets to sell). Looked full on TV. EDIT The App Ohio game had 1000 more people there per the official records. Big whoop.

BTW, App should be in New Orleans this year, not us.

Big whoop? Not sold out and under capacity. Just because your AD couldn't get tickets didn't mean there were not some to buy.

South's issues lie with themselves. Ladd looks like a ghost town th majority of the time.

Because it is huge. Our attendance is fine. We travelled well to Montgomery. There were less than 1000 tickets available. Big whoop. And had the AD gotten the tickets, we could have sold them.

If you guys think that USA should never be allowed to play in the NO Bowl because we can't sell out a 40,000 seat stadium every time (although we have sold it out and we do hold the second highest attended Sun Belt Conference game ever), just say so. And that regardless of record, we should be shifted off to Montgomery or Orlando or Tucson every year, then we're going to push back. Or that ULL should continue to sit on that entitlement, regardless of how unearned it is, forever, then just say so. Or that the Belt, alone among FBS conferences, should allow the Bowls that need us to dictate terms to us that no other FBS conference would tolerate, then say so. Or if we're going to turn this conference into a league where going 3-15 OOC but can bring more fans to one game than others can (to other - more expensive games to attend) is something to rewarded, then just say so.
