The fact that the NO Bowl exists, takes a slot away from the rest of the conference and reserves it for ULL. At the expense of the other members of the conference, who have lesser and fewer bowl opportunities.

Sun Belt teams, INCLUDING ULL, are limited to their slated bowl tie ins and the orphan bowl slot pool. No, the Liberty Bowl isn't going to take ULL either.

Sending a conference champion to Montgomery for the second straight year, possibly against their wishes, is not optimal. And telling some teams, 'you can never go to TWO of the bowls that we are required to use to go to bowls' is not something that will stand without complaint.
