I would like to see the Bobcats get more involved with the group in CUSA or the MWC. And set up as many games against old SWC schools as possible in OOC. If Texas State can gather some momentum somewhat similar to what UofH did in the 80's and 90's...then, the program could really make some positive strides. Talent makes for entertaining fb.

The Bobcats are doing quite well under Coach Fran and are a force to be reckoned with in the SBC. Not so much with Texas in the Big 12.

Yeah, I'm not trying to put Texas State in the Big 12. I was trying to get Texas State to develop rivalries against the old guard schools in the state. Which will help Texas St gain a foothold in the media versus the schools that actually get all the media coverage. Which will help foster growth for the school. Plus, all the schools in the old SWC are very close in proximity to Texas State...and should all bring good crowds to the games no matter where they are played. Playing the old SWC group also puts Texas State in a good position to be televised on a major network.

This is why I recommended that Texas State set up games against old SWC schools.

Playing several of those SWC members would earn nothing more than an AAC or ESPN3 telecast... teams are just not very good.
