Rex was pretty upset over our game last night. He was getting some unlucky breaks on defense (my guys caught a few lucky passes in perfect coverage), but he also said I was placing my linebacker in an unblockable position leading to "nano blitzing." I've never heard of that, but apparently has something to do with taking advantage of a glitch in the game. I think he thought I was taking a DE and putting him in a 2 point stance. In actuality, I was in a Nickel 2-4-5 formation and was using an OLB. I was simply blitzing the inside gap to get his slow QB on the run and stop the read option. Since Clements was hurt, I figured getting his backup QB on the run would be a good strategy. He could have run seveal different things to counter my strategy. Quick screens into the blitz, drag routes, etc.. It was never my intention to take advantage of any glitches or to play anything but the closest to simulation as possible. I should point out that he went for several 4th downs deep in his own territory (something he is against), but I can only assume that was out of frustration. I'm sorry for any misunderstanding and I'd even be happy to replay the game and not blitz my OLB inside. I am not interested in being the commish and I certainly think 5 guys is not enough to keep it fun. I hope you will reconsider and rejoin the dynasty.
