I like how the roster is shaping up.

Positive outlook for 2021-22:

1. Kids back in class and and fewer social restrictions on young guys away from friends and family.
2. Fall practice to build team chemistry, learn system, get in shape.
3. Back court has talent and experience with Phillips, Okaura, Fornes (plus Thomas).
4. Healthy Shy (as exciting as any development this offseason)
5. Shooters: Shy, Fornes, Sims, and Oglesby are each good shooters...three of those guys have 1st team ability.
6. Kelly is athletic and seemingly a good fit in Siddle's system. Long, athletic, rim-protector & rebounder, capable offensively, but doesn't demand touches. Two years of eligibility, but four years removed from HS (mature body). Side question: Kelly played HS ball in Georgia. Does he have any connection to Cacok (AAU, coaches in common, etc)?
7. Winning culture: Fornes, Baker and Oglesby have experienced success. Their buy-in and leadership will be valuable.

Questions:
1. Which Freshman is ready to contribute immediately? McCracken seems to be a popular choice, and it seems McGriff will have an opportunity to compete right away.
2. I don't think we've replaced Boggs skill set yet, but I'd like to see us go that route with the last scholarship.

Add Jack Hemphill to the roster and I think we're competitive next year. Others have also benefited from the portal (NU and JMU), so I don't know how we'll project, but I see an improvement next year.
