Whoa. Toews quit and left long before Coach Siddle arrived. Toews quit and left before COVID was even any sort of an issue. If I recall, he quit and left before what was happening in Wuhan, China was even international news. His existence in this scenario isn't logical to either side of the argument. His decision to quit though, IMO, was the catalyst that pushed the final button on the McGrath era and ultimately led to Siddle returning to UNCW.

IMO, the piece that would've been more logical is the injury to our current PG, and how it lingered much longer than the coaching staff wanted/anticipated (as infections often do).

Never said Towson was a part of the covid issue. Him leaving the team was a big impact on the team. If he would of stayed, we would have still had a true PG when Shy went down. Which makes him a much bigger loss than Steere. It impacted this year's team. No matter when he left.

Right, I was merely pointing out that his loss before conference play even started last year... IMO, didn't really have an impact on the play of this season. The team had moved on plenty. They played well without him, then while it didn't work out, Siddle recruited another PG behind Shy (Carr). So, outside of unforeseen circumstances, we would've been well covered in the era post-Toews. Sure, his departure impacted the program as whole, but I don't feel it impacted play this years. I don't mind agreeing to disagree though. That's just my take. I was referencing COVID stuff, because I do agree that had significant impact to the play this year.

I do propose a question...

"IF" coach had kept Pridgeon out of play this year, do we think he would've still transferred? IMO, I think he elevated his transfer stock by playing immediately. That's a big if, and one we'd never know the answer to, I know. Just makes me wonder.
