Put the transfer at his natural position, C. That puts CaCock at PF with Bryan as his backup and frees those guys to eat up the rest of the league at PF while playing alongside an actual C.

We have no holes at PF, especially not now.

Cacock hasn't shown the ability to score facing the basket so far. He'll need some time to adjust, since he's always played center. Plus, he's operated in the post by himself the past two years, where he can use his athletic ability to beat defenders by moving without the ball. A posting center will draw defenders and clog up the middle. We'll have to see what the plan of McGrath is. Does he see Cacock and the transfer on the court together? If so, it removes an outside threat we had at the 4 in Flemmings. Think about the PF at CofC. We need either that or an outside shooter. Otherwise we have a center and PF who can only score in the paint.

I also think a change in coaches gives Elmore a chance. If he can play the four with a true shot blocker and center, he can operate outside where he is a very good scorer. If we aren't going to press ala Keatts, it removes one of the weaknesses he had in that system.

I am very relieved we got a big man. IMO, that was our biggest need. Sorry, but unless Bryan improves drastically, the transfer is going to take his minutes.

And although I don't know if Cacock is prepared to operate at the 4, if McGrath is really wanting to help him move on to a pro career, he NEEDS to make the change.

Considering the turmoil we've had, that's a CAA competitive lineup that should keep us top 3. Good size and rebounding throughout the lineup. We should be able to play "Carolina Ball" where we can rebound and outlet quickly to play fast.

Also, with Sallah coming out of MSM, he should be able to run the court. All of the sudden, things are looking up.
