I attended both Universities, so I say that with no bias. When I saw the brackets come out and UL and Ole Miss would have to play each other, if both teams survived their regionals, was screwed up for both teams after following both teams all season.

I don't see how any of the teams could have been happy with that draw. That should have been a game for the CWS.

Ole Miss was not the 11th overall seed. Baseball does not seed teams other than #1-8 national seeds. The rest of the teams are paired by regions.

I truly believe that had Florida beaten LSU to win the SEC tournament, Ole Miss would have been the #8 national seed. LSU ended up with a better overall SEC record than Ole Miss (because of the additional games in the SEC tournament) and won 2 of 3 against Ole Miss. Pretty easy to give the nod to LSU over Ole Miss with the identical resumes.
