Old School Yosef is classic. The interesting thing is a ton of the young alumni and students love it. I hope it never goes away. I think a lot of the "hate" for him is rooted in some type of embarrassment that outsiders will think we're hillbilly's. I'm inclined to embrace the heritage of the mountains rather than hide from it. I liken it to the folks in Louisiana who don't hide from the Cajun heritage. The Gorton's Fisherman (a name I first coined on the old MMB) is the worst looking thing I've ever seen. Believe it or not the middle Yosef is my creation. My old roommate at App owns Mountaineer Mania and we didn't like the Aus Ben Manufacturing Yosef (the one with the long skinny nose) adopted in 1980. He asked me to come up with something with the characteristics of the 70's Yosef but different enough to stay away from any school interference. At that time I worked with a young lady who was a artist and she gave me three variations of that one. The other two looked too much like Bluto from Popeye.

By the way my vote is for Gaw Juh Suthern. I love how they have remained true to the original classic, traditional look.
