Hell, we had our QB playing RB because everyone else was injured. In the end, excuses are like...well you know. Everybody has one. Prevailing point is we went into their house and beat those boys ragged when the experts said we shouldn't have.

Florida had the talent to beat us even with all the injuries they had. We were decimated as well by injuries.

We are going to get our yards against any defense. We do it against UGA, Bama, Florida etc.....It's the nature of our offense. But the real problem for Florida that game was coaching.

Yes their offense was struggling, but if you watched any Georgia Southern games during that season one of the first things you'll notice was that anyone could throw against us. We had a porous secondary. Yet, Florida kept trying to run the ball all game until it was two late. Yes, I know Morningwhig was no Aaron Murray, but they could have destroyed us throwing the ball.

I agree completely coaching had a lot to do with it. This is not hyperbole... UF would have won that game with Ronnie Bell (State's QB) as their starter. Mornhinweg had zero confidence and a shoulder injury. He said after the game that the 46 yard td pass he threw and the last play felt like he ripped his shoulder out. He literally could not throw the ball downfield. Furthermore I've been saying for years that UF has had FCS caliber talent at WR. It's been ridiculous the lack of playmaking ability we have had there under Muschamp.

You are absolutely right that they had the talent and should have won. I already have said multiple times now that southern deserved to win. I didn't "pick apart" the win, I picked apart posts that made ridiculous statements.

No one is making excuses. Simply offering analysis and opinion. The injuries to UFs defense were significant because 1) it included our two best players and 2) those two players were our nose guard and middle linebacker. With those two guys on the field the game would have been very different. The team as a whole was still grossly unprepared (back to coaching) but Virginia Tech's middle linebacker showed this year that a great MLB can tremendously hinder a TO attack.
