It's not like Mo State when approached has ever said, "Go to hell we don't want in your league" they have been rather consistent in stating they aren't ready or capable of FBS. They need another 5,000 seats to even be viable as an FBS and while they have drawings for what it would look like, they don't have the money in hand to make it happen.

1.) I don't know the history of UAB or USF as well as I know WKU's; but you really can't compare WKU's situation to MO State's. WKU was a long, long time member of the Sun Belt and would always have an FBS football home there when and if they so chose. MO State, on the other hand, currently has a window of opportunity with an FBS confrence with 1/2 of the remaining slots in all of FBS (for the foreseeable future). A preseident who does not take this opportunity clearly has other priorities for his school and joining the Sun Belt isn't one of them.

2.) I didn't say they said 'gth we dont' want you'; I said their current situation, in their opinion, is preferable to joining the SBC and imo they don't really care about FBS because now is the time to move; who knows what the future holds. Not being "ready" is just an excuse, FIU and FAU weren't ready but seized the opportunity to play at the highest level with inferior infrastructure.

I know that ASU would love to have MO State in the ranks and I've always thought they would be a great fit. But geez, as some are saying, you've been rebuffed for 10 years; it's time to let it die.

Each time the circumstances were different. Mo State hasn't reached the point of valuing FBS football. It took WKU nearly a decade once they had a clear path.
