We were raising around $750K at the time. Many supporters, including myself, made it well known they would increase their contributions once Laney was removed. Him being sent to the showers sparked a surge in donations and increases from current members. The 1st NC kicked donations into high gear, the 2nd even more and the win at Michigan to heights few of us believed we would ever see. All the Yosef Club folks did was open envelopes and cash checks.

My criticism of the Yosef Club is over corporate money. The football teams took care of increasing donations from individuals, but we have fallen embarrassingly short on corporate giving and major gifts.

Just to clarify some numbers:

2004 Yosef donations were $610k.
2005 $1.0M (before 1st title)
2008 $2.4M (year after Michigan)
2013 $3.0M (25% increase from the last title and Michigan win year)

I do agree we have fallen short on Corporate gifts. Something I hope is on the agenda for the new Charlotte Yosef Club rep they hired earlier this year.
