However, when someone is making a comparison it works best by limiting the variables. Apples to apples some might say.

2004 6-5 season no playoffs, regular season attendance under 14k

2005 regular season attendance over 20k.

A 43+% increase before AE, before national titles, before Michigan win.

70 you aren't changing my mind and obviously you would prefer to use your metrics over mine, no problem.

I will give Cobb credit for the good he has done (football atmosphere, increased donations, facility upgrades), and I will stand beside you to criticize his mistakes (the Capel hire being the biggest).

You may be letting your personal feelings get in the way of objectively judging his time as our AD.

You really should make it out to Quail Hollow tomorrow, maybe you and Charlie can patch things up.

He's fishing and coming up with nothing. He, along with everyone else know that the attendance of a playoff game is not relevant. Playoff games are always low compared to regular season. But, if he compared our playoff attendance to the attendance of other teams...well he wouldn't do that since it wont support his case.
If playoff games are throw away games, then why have them?
All those years of your being against App State going to FBS that was one of the main things your friends stated. We would miss the playoff games. Are they so insignificant you wish to throw their attendance out. Evidently not to the NCAA because they include them in yearly attendance.
You are fishing as well as everyone else who wants to show our AD has done such a great job. He has done some good things, but there is a huge amount of misses he has made. Especially in personnel decisions. No hurt feelings, just a realistic look at what has transpired. Then to leverage an additional three years just before a new Chancellor comes on board shows he knows he would be in jeapordy.

I didn't say the games themselves were throw away games, I said the attendance figures shouldn't be used to judge how good/bad the attendance was for the year.
By the way, I'm not fishing. I'm not the one making any claims or accusations about our program or about Cobb.
