I am gald to see that this thread is still going. My it seems as if years have gone by on this thread and that this thread may very well be a record holder.

I do realize that ECUs best chance to attain BCS status would be the Big East and hopefully if it does happen it will be in an all-sports league and not the monster that is currently the Big East.

After settling into the new CUSA over the last three years I have indeed seen a diffence in the advantages of an all sports league.

CUSA is by no means dead and buried and some predicted after the conference shuffles of 2003-04. I do like the goals of CUSA and the schools that are in it. It also seems as if all the schools are on the same page as far as advancing the conference. With it being now an all sports conference schools are able to better align and work towards a common goal. This is something the Big East is lackingand in my opinion if they do not split it will bring her demise.

The only thing that I have against CUSA is the geography. It is hard for schools stretched out from Greenville, NC to El Paso, TX to form real rivalries. That is the draw back.
Other than this fact I will predict that CUSA will be a force to be recokned with in the very near future.
